I’ve had the pleasure of working in the bridal industry now for 6 years, and what I love most about my job is helping brides feel confident and beautiful on their big day! To me, bridal beauty is all about enhancing a bride's natural beauty with a fresh, timeless approach. Most importantly, it's all about skin! I absolutely love making the skin look like the best version of itself - natural, glowy and flawless - using as little product as possible to get the job done. Cakey is not in my game. I love designing looks that feel effortlessly elegant—whether it’s a soft, airy French twist hairstyle or makeup that subtly enhances a bride’s unique features without leaning too heavily into trends.
My journey into the world of beauty began after high school when I spent a gap year in Australia. There, I studied film and had the chance to do makeup and hair for our student short film projects, while also juggling every role in the filmmaking process—directing, editing, you name it. That experience sparked my passion for beauty, leading me to makeup school in Chicago in 2015. It was in Chicago that I dove deep into makeup and hair, working on indie films, before transitioning to bridal beauty in 2018 when I returned to Portland.
There’s something so magical about traveling to stunning venues across the Pacific Northwest, and I truly love how every wedding offers a new opportunity to get creative and tell a unique story. One of my favorite venues to work at is the Victorian Belle in Vancouver, WA. It’s such a beautiful, vintage space that has so much character—it makes every wedding feel like a fairytale!
When I work with brides, my priority is always to build a strong connection and ensure they feel heard. I believe that a bride’s look should reflect her personality, so she can feel as radiant and confident as possible on her special day. Whether it’s creating a flawless look or being part of such meaningful moments, I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love.
